A little about me…
As long as I can remember, people and their challenges intrigued me. I intuitively wanted to help people feel happier and solve any problems that were presented to me. Twenty-plus years ago, I attained my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and my Master’s in Clinical Social Work. I then became an LCSW.
I have dedicated much of my clinical work to helping children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. I help my clients to cope with trauma, abuse, stress, anxiety, depression, anger, oppositional behavior, eating disorders, relationship issues, loss, life skills work, adoptions, foster care, parenting issues, sexual identification struggles, transitional planning, and life changes.
I am passionate about helping those struggling to turn difficult experiences into opportunities for growth. When hardships and challenges are met with a new sense of hope and strength, amazing things can happen! These changes can have a lifelong impact.
Teens face unique stressors. Therapy is a confidential, team-oriented approach. In an intuitive, compassionate, non-judgemental way, I help identify each client’s unique strengths, form new habits, increase coping skills, and improve self-esteem for the most success.
“Growing up in school no one ever called me anything close to an innovator. They called me different, they called me weird…Thankfully I was taught that being different was a good thing…that it meant you could make a difference.”
—Justine Timberlake (Singer, Songwriter &Actor)
“Becoming yourself is really hard and confusing and its a process. I was completely the eager beaver in school. And its not cool to be the person that puts themselves out there and I often got teased mercilessly. But I found that ultimately, if you truly put your heart into what you believe in, amazing things can happen.”
—Emma Watson (Actress from Harry Potter films)
